If nothing is close to your residence, you can maybe set a schedule with the institute about alternative or weekends that suit your timetable best. Most institutes offer all day classes and children should be able to join in on any of them as long as they are a member. Some schools however go the more conservatory route and have strict guidelines and policies. These schools mostly host recitals by the end of the year where the children put their talent on display which increases the children’s sense of accomplishment and competition. Both of these things are essential for the development of a strong personality. 


When looking for a dance school or class yourself, choose something out of your comfort zone. You want to go with something that you would not normally try but have always wanted to excel at. If you are a layman dancer, you can maybe opt for hip hop, contemporary or maybe Bollywood? There are plenty or dance forms to choose from and you should pick something that holds your interest that makes you want to come to class.

Dancing in general is an extremely healthy activity and is beneficial for mind and body. It is a great way to shed off a few pounds or tone your body. One can also improve their flexibility with it. Dancing releases feel good hormones in our bodies and when we dance it also lowers the stress hormones as well, making the activity a source of happiness. Also when you nail down the choreography even in the slightest, the feeling of elation is amazing.
